You can supply your details to us and we can do an initial obligation free check to see if you have potential line of sight to one of our towers. Once we confirm the line of sight we will contact you via email or phone call to continue the process to getting you connected.
This means in the first instance using mapping tools to verify if you have line of sight to our towers. Occasionally a visit from us to look at the outside of your place to see if an radio (usually placed on your roof) will “see” our base tower without any obstructions.
All aspects of the installation including positioning of the external radio, internal router and cable placements can be discussed with the installer on the day. There are times where we will need to place the dish in a specific area to ensure a good signal (ie trees in the line of site etc).
There is no cost for a physical site survey if deemed necessary by the YLess4U team and it can be scheduled for a convenient time. Once we can verify that a satisfactory signal is possible we can proceed with the EOI.
The installation generally takes about an hour to an hour and a half to complete. This involves sitting an radio on your roof, and cabling it to a room of your choice or to an area within your house that gives the best Wi-Fi signal throughout.
It then terminates in a standard Ethernet cable for your router or computer and a power adapter which needs a nearby power source (power point or board, solar is not a problem). Finally the installer will ask you to log on with your computer, checking to see that it connects to the internet.
That’s it – time to enjoy your new fast broadband!
